Install 32 bit libs:

 apt-get install ia32-libs

Now you have the directory:

 /emul/ia32-linux

This supports

console
X
Gtk

This does not support

KDE
Qt
...

Get these libs elsewhere and put them into the above mentioned path.

Use ldd to find out what libs are missing.
