Do not forget to set the ptr to your domain. Check it with nslookup <ip>.
exim error: TLS error on connection from HOST [IP] (gnutls_handshake): A record packet with illegal version was received.
make sure MAIN_TLS_TRY_VERIFY_HOSTS is off (nothing behind the =) in /etc/exim4/exim4.conf.template and perhaps in /etc/exim4/conf.d/main/03_exim4-config_tlsoptions (not sure about this file)
